Meet The Team

Nicholas J. Roman
Founder & CEO of Quantum Edge Precision LLC
Nicholas J. Roman is the founder and CEO of Quantum Edge Precision, a HUBZone-certified CNC machine shop based in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. He is a senior machinist, programmer, and systems builder with nearly twenty years of experience delivering tight-tolerance parts for aerospace, defense, medical, clean energy, and advanced industrial applications.
Nick started on the shop floor as a teenager and built his career from the ground up through manual machining, CNC operation, complex setups, and programming. Over the years he became the person shops called when a part was “impossible,” a process needed to be rebuilt, or a job required both speed and precision. Quantum Edge Precision was born from that track record of solving hard problems and delivering real parts on real deadlines.
Today, Nick leads Quantum Edge Precision as both a precision manufacturer and a HUBZone strategist. Under his direction, QEP combines high-mix CNC machining with disciplined systems, documented standards, and AI-augmented workflows to increase throughput and training capacity at the same time. The company is positioned inside the New England defense and advanced manufacturing corridor, aligned with federal small business programs, primes, and regional partners.
Nick is also the founder of the QEP Institute for the Advancement of Humanity, a nonprofit focused on rebuilding the skilled trades pipeline. The Institute’s mission is to connect youth and adults to careers in machining, construction, clean energy, life-safety, and related fields through structured training, employer partnerships, and real-world pathways into work. Together, Quantum Edge Precision and the Institute form a combined engine for production and workforce development.
Beyond the shop, Nick has spent years mentoring younger machinists, operators, and students, helping them move from “just a job” into a real craft and career. He has built relationships across industry, education, and government to open doors for others, not just for himself.
On the human side, Nick is a former music artist and battle rapper whose pen turned into a tool for philosophy, strategy, and teaching. He is a former MMA practitioner who carried that discipline and resilience into the cage and now into business. Most importantly, he is a father and a deeply family-oriented man whose work is rooted in providing stability, opportunity, and legacy for the people he loves.
For Nick, this is bigger than parts and purchase orders. It is about building durable institutions, strengthening American manufacturing, and creating long-term opportunity for the communities and workers who keep this country running.

Jose Vicente (Joe)
Vice President & Strategic Advisor
Jose Vicente joined Quantum Edge Precision (QEP) in March 2025 as a strategic advisor, drawn to the company’s vision to revive American manufacturing and build modern workforce training pathways that create real opportunity at home. As the initiative advanced, Jose’s leadership and community-centered approach led to his transition into the Vice President role, where he now helps guide strategy, partnerships, and long-term growth.
Originally from Boston, Jose later relocated to Fitchburg, where he has spent the past decade building strong community ties while continuing his career in emergency medical services. With 17 years in EMS, Jose has served as an EMT, Emergency Medical Dispatch Supervisor, Shift Field Supervisor, and Community Liaison with a local ambulance company, working closely with the Fitchburg Fire Department and fellow first responders. His career reflects a consistent commitment to protecting lives, supporting families in crisis, and strengthening the communities he serves.
As a single father and community investor, Jose has balanced professional service with personal responsibility while actively investing in local properties and neighborhood revitalization efforts. These experiences shape his belief that strong communities are built through opportunity, stability, and shared purpose.
For Jose, QEP’s mission is closely connected to Fitchburg’s historic manufacturing legacy—a city built by industrial pioneers who helped define American production. His role focuses on continuing that legacy, creating career pathways, expanding technical education, and advancing economic growth across the region and beyond.
Today, Jose leads strategy, partnerships, and community engagement, working to align industry, education, and civic leadership to bring QEP’s mission to life and improve outcomes for individuals, families, and future generations.
